Time Frame:
Sept. 2022 - Feb. 2024
Project Summary:
As Director of Creative Services for Venus et Fleur, I led the end-to-end design of a prototype-ready app for their unique luxury diffuser product, ensuring a seamless and visually stunning user experience. My role involved crafting the entire app journey, from initial wireframes to interactive prototypes, aligning design elements with the brand’s luxury aesthetic. Through close collaboration with stakeholders, I iterated on the design to refine usability, functionality, and overall product-market fit.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategy and creation of an intuitive user journey that aligns with Venus et Fleur’s brand identity and customer experience goals. Ensure smooth transitions across all touchpoints of the app to optimize user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Executed the end-to-end design process, from initial concept to final design, ensuring the application adheres to brand guidelines while offering a visually appealing and cohesive experience for users.
  • Designed and developed individual screens, UI elements, and interactive components in tools like Figma, ensuring a consistent and polished look throughout the app’s interface.
  • Created interactive prototypes to simulate the app's functionality for testing purposes, allowing stakeholders and users to experience and provide feedback on the flow and usability before the final development phase.
  • Gathered feedback from key stakeholders and shareholders, facilitate design reviews, and iterate on the design to address concerns, improving the app’s overall quality and user experience based on the feedback received.

🗒️ Project Overview:

The Venus et Fleur app is designed to seamlessly connect users to their WiFi-enabled luxury diffuser, offering an enhanced, personalized fragrance experience. Through the app, users can control diffuser settings, schedule scent releases, and customize fragrance intensity, all from their mobile device. This app aims to provide a sophisticated and user-friendly interface that elevates the brand’s signature floral experience with smart technology integration.

🧭 Platform User Journey:

The user journey for the Venus et Fleur app begins with a simple onboarding process, guiding users through connecting their WiFi-enabled diffuser to the app via a step-by-step setup. Once connected, users can easily access a dashboard to control fragrance settings, schedule scent releases, and adjust intensity levels. The journey concludes with personalized notifications and recommendations based on user preferences, ensuring a seamless and luxurious fragrance experience.

📱 Application Screens:

Designing and developing the app screens for the Venus et Fleur diffuser involves creating a sleek, visually cohesive interface that reflects the brand’s luxurious aesthetic. Each screen is crafted to provide intuitive navigation, from initial device pairing to controlling fragrance settings, while maintaining a minimalist yet elegant design. The screens prioritize user accessibility, ensuring smooth interactions, with visually distinct elements like dashboards, control panels, and customization options to enhance the user experience.

📲 App Prototyping:

Developing the app prototype for Venus et Fleur's WiFi-enabled diffuser involves creating interactive, high-fidelity mockups that simulate the app’s core functionalities, such as device pairing, fragrance control, and scheduling. The prototype allows stakeholders and testers to navigate through the app’s user flow, providing a realistic preview of the user experience. By incorporating dynamic elements, the prototype helps identify areas for improvement before final development, ensuring a polished and user-friendly product.
